I remember years ago talking with a friend about sin. Everyone sins, and some worse than others, and all in different ways and to varying degrees. I remember feeling somewhat frustrated because I had come to realize that people often view me as "Little Miss Perfect" and some have even called me that to my face, both as an insult and as a little joke. I knew of course that I'm not perfect and never will be. But I was having a hard time convincing certain people of it. My problem was this: I didn't know what my "sin-issue" was, so how could others!
Now before you start calling me names and judging me, just hear me out. In my

It was midnight and your Aunt Tasia and I were hopped up on Mommy's homemade Primal Fudge Blender Ice Cream. We were both a bit sleep deprived and more than a bit slap-happy when Aunt Tasia decided that with all my ever-so-frequent new ideas for projects, parenting, and general "life improvements" that I should put pen-to-paper to document my often underestimated levels of insanity. Thus the birth of this, yet another attempt to start a successful blog.
Aunt Tasia told me to hop-to-it and start my blog. I reminded her that I'd have to create a whole new account. Boy was she ever sorry for asking why! My last blogging attempt ended in sorrowful failure--not for any other reason than I had forgotten my password, and the email address connected to my account with which a new password could be created was no longer active, as I had also forgotten the password to that account and had no way to retrieve it. By some miracle of heaven, I attempted to create a new account but was halted by a surprisingly wonderful error message: "There is already an account associated with this email address." HA!! I had forgotten my FIRST attempt at blogging! That account had been connected to a different email address, one I still was able to access! So voila! Here we are! Years from now you will be able to look back on this blog and reminisce... or cringe, whichever you prefer... as you read about all of the crazy new ideas with which Mommy experimented on you all in her endless efforts to maximize time, minimize mess, waste & frustration, and organize life. My hope is that I eventually will find some system, some trick, some way to create habits in you so that when you all are grown and running your own homes, doing simple things like brushing your teeth twice a day, keeping the house clean, and working before playing comes second nature, rather than having to be learned while simultaneously trying to impart these life-skills onto your own children, like I am trying to do. UPDATE: Blog well underway, signing off at 4am to hit the sack! |
