Week 4: Atlanta, Georgia (GA) Tallahassee, Florida (FL) Montgomery, Alabama (AL) Jackson, Mississippi (MS) Baton Rouge, Louisianna (LA) Trace a basic map of the US onto tracing paper, including these 5 states and the locations of their capitals. Science: Nervous System.
Make a Brain Cap. Identify (touch) the parts of the brain responsible for various functions. For Brain Cap template and instructions, click here. The instructions include large and small templates. It is said in the instructions that the small is for small children and the large is for older children and adults. However, when we made the Large ones for my daughters and the Small ones for my sons, we observed that they are really all a bit on the small side. What some people do is buy white swim caps and draw directly on them. Those stretch to fit! You could even use these templates to help you draw on the caps! Either way, it was a fun project and the kids all really enjoyed it!
